| Education/work/clubs/organizations | On Thursday, May 5, 2011, our beloved mother, Colette Mary Larkin, 76, passed away at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Charlottetown, P.E.I., Canada, she was a longtime resident of Maynard.
Colette worked at Digital for many years; first as an Inspector in the Board Shop and retiring as a Photo Lab Technician. She later worked in the nursery at Acton Congregational Church for 10 years. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, watching her soap operas, talking to everyone, having a cup of tea and vacationing in Florida. She loved spending time with her family, and especially enjoyed feeding and cooking for her family. |
| Survivors | She leaves behind her daughters, Arlene Doughty and husband Scott of Maynard, and Carolanne Kucmerowski and husband Dennis of Delray Beach, Florida; son Tim Larkin and wife Diane of Cleveland, Georgia. In addition to her children she is survived by her brother Jim Hagan and wife Marie; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, family and good friends. She has joined her daughter, Phyllis Galletta, who predeceased her in Nov. of 2007. |
| Arrangements | Funeral Services were held on Wed., May 11th at 10:00 am at the Acton Congregational Church, 12 Concord Rd., Acton, with a reception following at the church in Hartman Hall. Visiting hours were Tues. May 10th from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave. (Rte. 111), Acton. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Maynard Council on Aging, Town Hall, 195 Main St., Maynard, MA. 01754. |
