He took part in the invasion of Normandy, Operation Anvil in the south of France and the invasions of Iwo Jima and Okinawa.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Eunice Williamson Cook, his daughter Marsha L. Cook of Maynard, MA, his son James L. Cook of Needham, MA and his wife Carol Cook, his granddaughter Kathryn Anne Wilson and her husband Dr. Mark A. Wilson of Lincoln, NE, and his grandson, James Carson Cook of Needham, MA. |
| Survivors | Graveside services were held on Saturday, April 30th at 1:30pm in Woodlawn Cemetery, 104 Concord Road, Acton, MA. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. or to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. |
