Bob worked in the hotel industry for over 40 years, managing hotels in Ohio, Connecticut and Massachusetts. He retired in 1988 as Eastern Regional Marketing Manager for Sheraton Hotels, where he worked for 30 years. He was an avid hunter, golfer, photographer, gardener, and enjoyed music festivals at the Canaan Valley Sporting Club in Canaan, CT. |
| Survivors | He is survived by his sons; David R. Bockweg and his wife Margi of Westlake Village, CA, Gary L. Bockweg and his wife Robyn of Washington D.C., Gregory S. Bockweg and his wife Cindi of Hudson, MA, Jeffrey A. Bockweg of Stow, MA, and daughter Lori A. Marzullo and husband Rick of Acton, MA, by his brother David R. Bockweg and wife Leanette of Erlanger, KY and sister Joan Lahrman and husband Frank of Chicago, IL. He was the brother of the late RoseMarie Smith of Napa, CA; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. |
| Arrangements | Visiting hours were Thursday, May 5th from 6-8 pm at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Avenue, (rte 111) Acton, MA. The funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday at 10:00 at St. Isidore’s Church, 423 Great Road (Rte 117) in Stow, MA, with graveside service immediately following at the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Central Street, Acton, MA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St.,Watertown, MA 02472 or at www.alz.org. |
