Mrs. Alpine was a devoted mother and grandmother, centering her life around her family. In her early years she enjoyed her work at the former Digital Equipment Corporation in Maynard. The Alpines lived in Maynard for many years where they raised their three children, then retired and lived on Cape Cod and in Arizona for a time before settling in Springfield. |
| Survivors | Mrs. Alpine is survived by her children and their families, Barbara Savoie and her husband Robert of Shirley, Ronald Alpine, his wife Nancy and his daughter Jacquelyn of Springfield, and William Alpine Jr., his wife Karen and their sons Nicholas and Ian of Beverly. She is also survived by a sister, Mary Cunningham of Mohave, AZ., and a brother, Ronald Doran and wife Joan of Maynard and Sagamore Beach. She was the sister of the late Barbara, John and Richard Doran. |
| Arrangements | Visiting hours are Wed. May 25th from 5-8pm at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave (Rte 111) Acton. The funeral Mass will be celebrated Thurs. May 26th at 10am in St. Bridget's Church, 1 Percival St., Maynard, with Mrs. Alpine's cousin, Rev. Richard Aylward officiating. Committal services will follow at 2:00 p.m.at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam, MA. |
